Sen. David Frockt

Vice chair, Senate Ways & Means Committee

First elected to the Washington State House of Representatives in 2010, Sen. Frockt was appointed unanimously by the Metropolitan King County Council to represent the 46th District in the state Senate in 2011 following the tragic passing of Sen. Scott White. Sen. Frockt served on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. as an aide to U.S. Rep. Romano Mazzoli, a senior member of the House Judiciary and Small Business committees.

Rep. Gerry Pollet

Chair, House Local Government Committee

After graduating from the University of Washington Law School, he chose a career as a public interest attorney protecting our environment, children, consumers, promoting open government; and, teaching a new generation of public health and law students. Gerry teaches at the University of Washington’s School of Public Health and some courses at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.

Rep. Javier Valdez

Vice chair, House Transportation Committee

Javier Valdez is the proud son and grandson of farm workers and laborers. Javier has worked for the City of Seattle for over 20 years, mostly at Seattle City Light where he led the utility’s women and minority business (WMBE) program. A leader in the Latino community, Javier previously served as a board member for the Washington State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and president of Hispanic Seafair.
